As far back as I can recall I have wanted to have a career in health care. I was so certain of this, little did I know what my future was a passion for alternative health care. I can recall my very first massage in my early twenties, and having a light bulb moment 'this is what I want to do for a living'. What unfolded in my life since was this huge interest that later turned into a passion for researching and learning new and interesting alternative modalities to support our bodies, mind and soul. It was a time of discovery. My belief is our bodies are a reflection of our thoughts. Massage Health Treatments can support and nurture a healthy body and mind. Taking care of your health prior to disease is one of the most empowering and positive paths you can take.
My professional training as a massage therapist began in 2000, and continues to this day. I have training in a variety of soft tissue therapies such as Swedish and deep therapeutic massage, myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, reiki, hydrotherapy and gem stone therapy. I have worked in a variety of settings including clinical and home based, and had a few contracts with various health care groups and corporations. This is my first experience working closely with chiropractic doctors, an opportunity I am excited about.
I also have a degree in Indigenous Studies from the University of Saskatchewan.
